1. Grab a shake cup, measuring cup and strainer.
2. Fill the shake cup with ice.
3. Put 100 ml of Espresso Martini in the shaker cup.
4. Shake vigorously for 10 seconds.
5. Use the strainer when pouring into a cocktail glass.
Pour your shake cup all the way out for the nicest foam layer.
6. Complete the classic Espresso Martini cocktail with 3 coffee beans on the vegan foam layer.

The Espresso Martini originated in the 1980s in London. The cocktail was created by Dick Bradsell, after a guest asked for a drink that would keep her awake and provide enjoyment at the same time. He combined espresso with alcohol and a hint of sweetness, laying the groundwork for a cocktail that would later become a global icon.
Initially, the drink was known as the Vodka Espresso. In the 1990s, the name changed to Espresso Martini, inspired by the popularity of the martini glass in which it was served. Since then, the cocktail has grown to become a staple on cocktail menus worldwide, loved for its powerful coffee flavour and sophisticated appearance.
At Cocktail Lab, we put our own stamp on this classic. Instead of vodka, we use dark rum for added depth and warmth, complemented by real espresso, coffee liqueur, and a subtle hint of vanilla.
